Has anyone been to the Rock N' Roll Hall of Fame recently? |
Travel Info My boyfriend really wants to go on our way back from Cedar Point, but I can't really get excited about it when it sounds kinda boring. I like music, especially oldies like the beatles and such, but im not too into like hard rock. Is there a lot to do there or is it just like any other museum? Travel Tips It isn't a typical museum. It is very interactive and is more oriented towards "pop culture" than Rock and Roll. There are all kinds of great musicians featured with cool memorabilia and costumes. Its also a really cool building to visit with a great gift shop inside. If you have never been, you have to go! Also, you could make a little afternoon of being in downtown Cleveland. There are all kinds of exciting restaurants and bars opening up due to all the new young people moving into downtown. Before or after you visit the museum you should grab a bite to eat and check out the scene on W.6th St. or E.4th St. - Both are within walking distance to the Rock Hall. Others The museum has so much, words can't begin to describe it. Everything from Tina Turner's dress (tiny thing!) to props used at U-2 concerts. Theres videos, pictures, items and usually some display of all the things connected with some artist, like Elvis or the latest rap star. I'm sure once you get there, you'll love it. There's three or four levels to explore, so you might enjoy it. Very cool place. It has a little bit of everything. Costumes, props, instruments, etc. It's worth it if you are driving through the area. I absolutely love the beatles, and trust me, you won't be disappointed. There's all kinds of awesome stuff from pretty much every genre of music, except for maybe rap. But I promise you will not be bored. This museum tells the story of rock and roll. Its roots start with folk/jazz in the 30's and goes from there through the decades. You will be shocked where rock came from! Give it a shot! if u count last summer or two summers ago recent....i went there they had like britney spears outfit there..it was cool |
