Cleveland Ohio? |
Travel Info I鈥?thinking of moving to Cleveland Ohio. Can anyone tell me of a safe neighborhood? I was thinking of East Cleveland. Maybe gay, or not. I was there as a child and remember it is a scary city. I remember there were a lot of places I would be found alone at night. Travel Tips East Cleveland is the poorest of the poor in the Cleveland Area. If you want a more secure neighborhood consider Cleveland Heights/University Heights, University Circle/Little Italy, Brookpark, Lyndhurst, or North Olmstead. Source(s): Spent four years in Cleveland as a CWRU student -- 1999-2003. http://www.nhlink.net/neighborhoodtour/n... http://urbanohio.com/clevsuburbs.htm... Other Travel Tips If you can afford it, move to Westlake or Bay Village. Both on the west side, but very nice towns. There are many things to consider If you are married, and your planning on having kids soon. Look in to schools. Chagrin Falls, is number four in the state, number 95 in the US. If you can I would suggest you visit first for a week or two. Get a car and drive around and see the West side. The East side, more Lake County, have some very good place as well, more open & country. Mentor, Concord, Perry, Madison, Kirtland. There are a lot of choices, it all depends on what your looking for. Good Luck East Cleveland has been in the local news a lot as the poorest, most corrupt city in Cuyahoga County. Granted, you can probably buy a lot of house for little money, then invest into fixing it up. I guess it depends on your family and financial situation. East Cleveland is pretty scary. I would suggest a suburb. Parma isn't too expensive and it's a little closer to the city. Lakewood is very gay-friendly |
