Why isn't there anything to do in Toledo, OH? |
Travel Info I have driven to Toledo twice, from Michigan, and both times all the stores and restaurants were closed. I came on Sunday both times, but it was early enough in the afternoon... nothing was open but a gas station. I liked the area by the Maumee River (downtown area?) with all the nice old buildings, but why isn't anything open? Travel Tips In Ohio, most places don't open till 11 or 12 on Suns. Most of the places are open by where I live (West Toledo) on Suns. I know that the city is trying to improve the downtown area, so maybe you were noticing places that have not been in business for awhile. There are a lot of places that are closed down there. My advice is to go to the west Toledo or the Ottawa hills area. There is a lot of good scenery there and public art works by the college. The art museum is world class and is open on Suns I believe. It is near downtown. Others Thanks for the answers everyone. To be for real Toledo is just plane boring most of the time especially when you compare it to other cities. Sunday is not a good day to go anyways because I think most stores close @ like 6. I've been to Toledo once (I live in Cleveland) and we went to the zoo. They have a nice zoo, but I don't know the answer to that question. GO to a Toledo Mudhen's game at 5/3rd Field. It's SWEET!!! Located downtown Toledo! BTW--it's The Tigers AAA Team--they're awesome!!! :) Cheap seats & concessions!! ;) MYSELF-Experience. |
