Cleveland's job market? |
Travel Info How is Cleveland's job market doing? I know the cost of living is low, does that mean there are no jobs? Travel Tips I used to run a small job shop on the outskirts of Cleveland. If we put an ad in the paper, even for a chip clean up guy, we would be inundated with over 300 applications. It seems like technology is doing ok in the area, but manufacturing/technical is pretty weak right now. But hey, there is always wal-mart. Others I talked to someone that lived their they said GE is moving and it was getting a little tough to fine a good job i recently moved to cleveland, and have to say that the job market was not stunning. i know that mid-level jobs are rare, unless you are a highly skilled tradesperson. i have a degree in pr and marketing, and had a really hard time finding anything applicable that wasn't sleazy door-to-door sales- but there are lots of financial jobs with the different banks here. Rated the poorest city in America last year. The job market here (and in OHIO??) is said to be bad. Not great and getting worse.
