Travel Info Staying in Cologne for 4 days, any must see's outside of the city or in near by cities? Travel Tips there is much to see! the k枚ln (as germans call cologne) cathedral is a must see. the great gothic (i think) architecture is just astounding. it towers over the city. also, near the church is a small place that sells- what else- cologne. if i am not mistaken this is where cologne was first bottled. i think the name of the cologne is 4221 or something. the last time i got one (long time ago), it comes in various sizes. it is perhaps, if not the oldest cologne brand in the world (espcially if cologne originated there)! nearby also is te chocolate museum. like a kid, living ala charlie of the chocolate factory, there is this small chocolate fountain/pond where you can eat wafers dipped in the chocolate fountain/pond! very near cologne is bonn, where the capital of germany was transferred after the country was halve- east and west. better see it too. have fun! |
