Travel Info During my trip in Europe, I will be in Cologne for two days and then take a cruise to Mainz. How long does this trip take and what is the frequency of steamers? How far is it from Mainz to Frankfurt where I intend to spend the night? How many days must one plan in Frankfurt? Travel Tips Due to the schedule on http://www.koeln-duesseldorfer.de/englis... it's not possible to make it from Cologne to Mainz by boat only in one single day. You'll have to go at least to Bad Breisig by train, or maybe to Koblenz. Arrival would be 7:30 PM in Mainz. From Mainz to Frankfurt it's about a 45min ride by local train, running frequently until late at night.
