Is it easy to get from Algete to Madrid by bus or train? Is Algete itself worth a visit?

I have a friend who has just moved there and I want to visit her.
Is it best to stay in Madrid and travel to Algete? Or stay in the town. If anyone knows good tips on what to do when we're there, that would be great!

yes.local bars where very friendly . only there one night , sorry Went by car so no help really
