Here are some places to hit in dublin:

> Kilmainham jail - Historical site where famous Irish patriots were locked up; good tour w/good historic slide-show on the "troubles."

> Guinness Brewery - A bit commercial, but still pretty cool + fresh Guinness.

> Trinity College - Great to take a walk through and maybe even catch a cricket match; good Celtic museum.

> The General Post Office (GPO) - site of historical significance where Irish took stand against the Brits.

Get the hop on, hop off bus ; buy your ticket in the Tourist Office across from Trinity. The bus will take you all over the city and you can get off at any stop you wish, visit the site, and get another bus- just show your ticket.
