Travel Tips

I went to the Republic of Ireland several years ago and loved every minute of it. Flew in to Shannon, took the train to Dublin, met up with friends. Did Dublin on the first day, went south one day, went back across the the Galway Bay area for another night, saw the sunset over the Bay (got to be one of the most beautiful), went to the Cliffs of Mohr and visited a nearby castle, took our time coming back across stopping at some caves and pubs and other places along the way. Came back to Dublin. Our friends made sure we were well entertained from cabaret to the dances, Kilmainam jail (forgive my spelling), St. Patricks Cathedral---anyway we packed a lot into ten days. Would go back this minute if possible!!

Just came back from a ten day vacation today. Loved every minute of it and want to go back already.
Yes. My parents are from Cork so I went for a visit to my relatives. Actually I wasn't as impressed as I thought I'd be. My relatives also had me drunk pretty much 24/7, so my opinion could be marred... The sights were nice and the people were fine. The Spanish travellers would physically push us aside off the sidewalk if we were walking too slowly. And when we rode transit all the elderly people were pushed to the end of the bus.
I'm afraid I prefer Canada. My parents do too. They had a hard life in Ireland. Do you know that old boarding school that was closed down due to abuse etc? My mom grew up there. I guess it might have been more like an orphanage. Anyhow, I'll probably visit again when I miss my relatives.
