Texas is a big place with not much going on. Don't murder anyone there because they fire up old sparky at the drop of a hat. But seriously if you want to know what it looks like Google Earth it. Google Earth is free and you can see everyplace in the world. Then you can read up on the area through Google community and geocities. That will give you an idea of what it's like. By the way my niece lives in Texas North of Dallas. She is cool with it. It is hot and Humid.

Texas is like anywhere else in the country. A big city is a big city with different night life. Why on Earth would you think there are less computers and better ways to spend your time?

If you are referring to the state Texas, it is just like other states. It has big cities, small towns and everything in between. Its usually pretty hot down there, and the humidity is pretty bad too. Lizards run wild around water and pools. Its really pretty and for the most part the people are very proud to be Texans.
I once took a flight from LA to Nashville, and the plane made about 4 stops in Texas and people got on and off at every stop. Every single person I ever met in Texas and from Texas has beed super friendly and I made friends quickly with them. The people are great!
