Yes. December through May are the driest months by far but there is another consideration that you need to be aware of. Those are also the months when the tourists flock to Costa Rica, especially December and January. If you are planning to visit LaSelva or Limon it does not really matter all that much when you go because in those two places at least the rainfall is fairly uniform.

Well, depends what you are after? If you are after warm temps and little rainfall, then anytime from December to May, but if you want to see record breaking rainfall then I would strongly suggest September (up to 12 inches)
