Travel Tips Go to Guanacaste (the Pacific) or Limon (the Caribbean) there are beautiful beaches over there and they are close to each other, so you can visit several beaches during your trip. Now the greatest thing about Costa Rica is the small distances between the beach and the mountain, so you can visit both if you like. But don't forget the Volcanoes, the Poas Volcano has the second biggest crater in the world and the Arenal volcano is active, so it is a great spectacle to see it at night, I'll assure you that it would be the best fireworks you have ever seen. The beach of San Manuel Antonio is incredible, horseback riding in the mountains AND on the beach for under 10,000 colones. and the volcano in Arenal is beautiful, too. you'll want to go to San Jose, because you have to see how they all live in the city...the boulevards there are better than New York's, lol. 1. If you are in San Jose dont forget to visit: the Museum of Contemporary Art MADC, The restaurant Cafe Mundo, The National Museum, The bar in Escazu named The Pub. Then you might see Poas Volcano, Coffee Britt Tour, Monteverde (stay 2 nights), and then youcan check out the Pacific (Playa Conchal), or the Caribbean (Puerto Viejo Beach).
