Travel Info What is the best place in Central America? Travel Tips I have heard that Costa Rica has a stable government and economy, kind people, and many sights to see. It has also done a better job protecting rain forests than many of its neighbors. Others Best place is hard to say. There are so many great places to visit. One of my favorites is Antigua, Guatemala which is very interesting and charming. While in Guatemala, visit Tikal the ancient Mayan ruins. They are amazing and you will sew a lifetime memory. Currently I am living in Costa Rica and have traveled quite a bit around the country. It is a small country and you can make a lot of ground in short order if you are into that. The country also has a variety of things to see and do. The rainforests are amazing 鈥?we lived in one for awhile and saw hundreds of monkeys every day! The birds are amazing and the flowers very colorful. The beaches in Costa Rica are lovely and picture perfect in most areas. Plus, you can visit the volcanoes 鈥?we are spending Valentines Day at the Arenal volcano and in a hotel where you can watch the active volcano from your room all night long! That鈥檚 one way for an old married couple to have a 鈥渉ot night鈥?to celebrate the day. Pura Vida! Belize is very nice. They have awesome beaches and really, really good scuba diving. Away from the gulf they have cool ruins, rivers that you can tube down as you go through a tunnel that is pitch dark, and a couple nice cities. Try to avoid the rainy season (spring) if you go. Definitely Costa Rica!!!!!!!! It is a beautiful country, beautiful beaches, beautiful mountains and beautiful people. However I think it is the most expensive country from Central America.
