How much Spanish should I be able to speak when I go to Costa Rica? |
Travel Info I'm going there soon. I know basic Spanish and I can carry on a simple conversation in all three tenses. Is that enough to get around in Costa Rica? Travel Tips Most places I went to had english speakers...I think they really appreciate it when you make an effort to speak their language...You will be fine...My buddy only knew the word "naranja" or orange for the type of soda he liked...he made it through 3 weeks with that and Gracias...Just remember their favorite phrase "Pura Vida"! Others You can never know too much... However, I think you'll be fine! It is more than enough to get around Costa Rica, but I agree with the other post, the more you know the better time you will have. As many as you want. Here there are a lot of english speakers, so it will be so easy to comunicate with others. But in fact, here there are some spanish schools that offers cultural inmerse for you to learn it faster and deeper.
