Bus or train to south america?

Travel Info
Are there bus/train lines from texas to costa rica?

Travel Tips
hi,
I took the bus from pannama to cancun a few years ago. from cancun there are tons of buses north. no problem taking a bus. there are no trains. nicaruaga sold there train track to help pay for there civil war, other countries I dont think have any either. On the bus its smartest to keep your bags with you on the bus, or it wont make it,so pack lite. I traveled with a surfboard and it made it but I know many people who had their bags stolen. just dont bring anything valuable and no worries. tfrom san jose costa rica to managua nicaruaga it one day or 8 hours, cost around 30 for the deluxe aircon bus, then 12hrs 15bucks to tecacigualpa, then 10 hrs to gaut city, watch yourselftry to arrive at a good time, then maybe 16hrs to mex city, then up to texas. good luck try to spend some time though and mix it up with chicken buses.

train.. you won't be as cramped up and so you'll be able to enjoy the views better!
Hi. There is no passenger train service anymore through Mexico. Therefore from Texas through Mexico it'd have to be bus. I don't know from Mexico to Costa Rica, but I'd think bus and not train. Train service is not so common in Latin America. Hope this helps.
