Travel Info How is Costa Rica? Travel Tips I went to Costa Rica in January. It was so amazing. We flew from ATL to Liberia airport. I would definitely recommend flying to Liberia & not San Jose. We went to several beaches on the Pacific, & visited Vulcan Poaz, Irazu, & Arenal. Yes, as Mikey said, it's a poor country. From his comment, I'm guessing he's never been there though. It's absolutely beautiful. THe people are very friendly & helpful. Watch your stuff just like you would in a big city here. There are no road names, so driving is a bit confusing, but well worth it. We rented a Toyota Land Cruiser. Don't get a car, you'll need an SUV. I could go on forever, but I won't. I loved it! I'd go back right now if I could. Best coffee, pineapple & strawberries ever! For the most part, a ****hole, but not as much of a ****hole as the rest of central america. I came here June of 05 for a visit...I moved here in October...This place is great!!!!! it is more of a second world country......It and it's people are fantastic....I have had several friends and family visit and they all love it....let me know if you have any questions. What does poor have to do with anything????? Look all over the USA and you will find the same thing...The difference is the Costa Rican people are happy and not standing in line wanting more money from the government. By the way, if you think CR is not a 3rd world country, you certainly haven't been to any of the poor neighborhoods around the capital. I hope that more people see Costa Rica as an ugly country as 'Mikey' does. This way it can stay as beautiful and enjoyable as I and other people find it. |
