What to see in costa rico on my trip? |
Travel Info What to see in costa rico on my trip? Travel Tips There are lots of wonderful things to see! It depends in part on the time of year, though. In the dry season (roughly Nov-March) I highly recommend a multi-day hike in Corcovado National Park if you're in decent shape. I saw monkeys, tucans, macaws, crocodiles, and so much more there...if you're lucky you might even see a tapir or even a jaguar! A more accessable park is Manuel Antonio...super touristy, but still very nice, with lots of monkeys, big lizards, decent swimming, and some nice scenery. Another nice thing to do is to try to time your trip so that you can watch the giant sea turtles lay their eggs, or so that you can watch the babies hatch. Different sites in the country have turtles at different times of year...check out a guidebook to find out more. If you surf (or want to learn) don't miss the Nicoya Peninsula. I liked the cloud forest (Monteverde/Santa Elena), but thought it was a little over-rated. Have fun! Others the beach if they have one....im not sure i havent been there I would say probably the men! Arenal Volcano, a cloud forest (Monteverde?) a lowland rainforest (Corcovado?), La Basilica de los angeles (Cartago) and a beach on the Pacific side. |
