Where to stay with a family of 5 in Costa Rica? What area? A rental house or resort for your 1s trip? |
Travel Info We would be departing from New Orleans trip would be one week or more. Travel Tips Went to the Pacific side (Gulf of Papagayo) of Costa Rica about 5 years ago and stayed at the Blue Bay resort (don't know if it is still under that name). Had a really good time there, staff was friendly, food was great (became really fond of Costa Rican pineapple and Costa Rican coffee), and the resort had nice dinner shows; not much of a beach and poor snorkeling. I do think staying at a resort is definitely a better way of meeting other people if that's important to you. One of the couples my brother and I met actually purchased a timeshare condo close to the resort they had such a good time. If interested, I'll see if I can get their e-mail info from my brother. Others I ALWAYS stay at homes when traveling - especially if you have a family - you can rent houses on VRBO.com - private homes - the cheapest and best with best locations. If you require pampering and tours I would go for a resort. |
