what do you mean if i have been to CR?!?! i LIVE here! its sooooo beautiful i love this place! the arenal volcano is beautiful too! the tabac贸n place with the warm waters is sooo pretty because it has sooo many pools and plants and flowers! you should go horseback riding and on a canopy tour. there are also suspended bridges in the rain forest. the time i went to the bridges the volcano started rumbling and i was freaking out. you should really go! ^^To a volcano, Yes. To Costa Rica, no.
Yes I have been - in October last year - it was the most amazing trip of my life!! We hired a jeep and drove around, spending a few days in each area!! The Arenal volcano is fantastic - you can hear the volcano rumbling throughout the day and at night you can see lava flowing and spurting from the top!! We went on a fantastic sky railing trip through the local rainforest which I would truly recommend!! We stayed in the Tabacon resort which is fabulous as it includes free entry to the Spa and Springs - very decadent!

Went to Costa Rica @5 years to the Pacific side (Gulf of Papagayo) and did the Lake Arenal/Arenal Volcano side trip. It was very cloudy and the lake was very windy (they do alot of windsurfing there). It wasn't my favorite trip (prefered the rainforest canopy tour and the Tabacon Hot Springs even though it literally took all day and the bus ride was scary due to the narrow, winding, washedout dirt roads)- but how often do you get to be atop a volcano?
