Drive from San Jose to Volc谩n Arenal? |
Travel Info Visiting Costa Rica this November and my hotel told me it would take 3.5 hours to travel by car from San Jose to the Arenal volcano. Is this accurate? It does not look really far on the map. Also, are the roads from San Jose to Arenal pretty easy to navigate? I am just trying to plan ahead and I would like to be prepared. Any advice would be helpful. Suggestions? =) Travel Tips 2 to 3 would be more accurate, it is a short distance but the roads are very twisty Easy to get there? yes A big must on your list of things to do in C.R. November is an excellent month to come, low tourist season a little windy, at the end of the rainy season, good visibility of the cone of the volcano in this month My wife was just there yesterday if you want to know anything more specific I will be happy to help contact pasteleriainglesa@yahoo.com Others well sounds about right. Its pretty simple to get the just get the correct directions also dont be afraid to pull over and ask for help. The drive can be really long so the faster you get there the better. It sounds about right, but it might take a little longer if you are leaving from downtown San Jose. For the most part the roads are well marked-- except in Ciudad Quesada/San Carlos and San Ramon but these are relatively small towns so just ask. There are currently problems with bridges on the San Ramon route. Ask your car rental agency about the most advisable route (via San Ramon or Zarcero). San Ramon/La Tigra route is normally quicker but the Zarcero/Ciudad Quesada is a little prettier.. |
