Where can I get documents authenticated in the US , I plan to marry in Costa Rica?

I have the necessary documents but have to authenticate them here in the US

You have to take them to a Notary Public, then to the Secretary of State of the state where you live. Once in Costa Rica, you need to take the documents to a certified (official) translator. Just go to yahoo and search Costa Rica consulate and you will see where all the CR consulates are located in the states and thats where you do it.
