What are the best things to do in Jaco Beach? |
Travel Info restaurants, nightlife, adventure ? Travel Tips Jaco is a town full of restaurants and little shops. It is a very lively town and there are places where they rent surf boards, etc. People like to walk and browse the shops (beach clothes, crafts, souvenirs, beach jewelry, etc.). There are a few good restaurants, like El Colonial. It serves all types of foods, but my favororite dish is "arroz con pollo" (rice with chicken). You can also find lots of "cabinas" (cabins for rent). At night people go to restaurants and there must be some disco somewhere. As for adventure, not much besides surfing, unless you take tours to nearby places, like Carara National Park and Manuel Antonio National Park. Have fun! Source(s): Costa Rican. Surf, surf and surf, but you are also very close to the Manuel Antonio Wildlife Park a most beautifully and tranquil beach, close to the Savegre River for more Wild Life and White Water Rafting, lots of Canopy in the area Take care at night Jaco has become a little dangerous at night stay in groups and well lit areas, there are lots of Night Clubs but as in all places the Common sense Logic must take first place Enjoy Jaco and Herradura but also visit the northen part of C.R. Guanacaste (beautifully beaches lots more than Jaco) Alajuela with the Volcanoes and thermal waters, Zarcero with its parks and and cheeses and so on Enjoy Keep in mind, "nightclub" in all of latin america means "hookers". If that is what you are looking for . . . Jaco is the place. Surf is great and alot of fun and party . . for something more tranquil and peaceful however, you need to get south of Manuel Antonio. Try a little beach village 20 miles south of Manuel Antonio called Matapalo. Perhaps the most pristine, secluded hidden gem of a beach in the area. |
