Anyone heard of this hotel in Costa Rica? |
Travel Info It's called "Hotel California" and is located in the city of Escazu. I was just wondering if anyone knows about this place or has ever been to it and if it's a decent place to stay. Travel Tips My old landlord is from Costa Rica, and he travel every year. When asked about this Hotel, he told me it was more like a B&B, rustic with a great view of San Jose. He remmy that the owner is an american from philadelphia, Mr. Cohen. So he believe you will enjoy the hotel. And having Mr. Cohen as a host, will make your experience even better. Others Depend what ur looking for. Escazu is the rich area of Costa Rica. Residential mostly . . . .not much to do. If you are over 50, it should be fine. If you are 20 to 40 . . probably not for u unless a local lives close by and can show u around . . if the first time in CR and you have more than 3 days? Get out of San Jose and get to Manuel Antonio area . . the beach. San Jose is one of the least desirable cities in the world . . I travel alot, trust me Escazu is not the prettiest city in Costa Rica. It is hot and there's nothing much to do. I have never heard of this hotel though. If it is high in the mountain, the view will be amazing, but if you go to CR, I agree get out of San Jose. HIt the beaches, the forests and the volcanoes. Manuel Antonio is beautiful, but also the beaches farther south are prettier. Montezuma is incredible. Stay in playa Tambor and there you can branch out into other beaches. Isla Tortuga is amazing. Volcan Arenal is great too. The beaches in the North are great. Guanacaste is a beautiful province too. I'm from there I hope its nice. I'm staying there in August for a couple of nights. When are you going? I could let you know when i get back. Now, there is also the California Hotel in Manuel Antonio Beach. Its a moderate hotel. It would be my last choice of hotels in Manuel Antonio Beach. www.tourtech.net |
