Source(s): www.tropicalpass.com Other Travel Tips Hi Bonie, I'm a costarrican who lives in Thailand and always look exacly for the tranquility and the peace you're looking for. 1) You have to go to the Arenal Volcanoe area, since it may represent a great chance to see an active - phiroplasma volcanoe!!! try to stay in Arenal Lodge... is far away from everything. There you can arrange lonely horse back ride to the ridge with an stoning sight to the volcanoe an the lake. Also there, go ( very early in the morning ) to Arenal Hanguing Bridges, is incedible... 2) I recommend you to climb the Cirripo Hill ( you need a good physicall shape do!) is the highest point of CR and the place, the scenario and the view from there to - both - Pacific Ocean and Caribbean Sea is a one life time breath taking experience. 3) Go to Sarapiqui and try to stay at La Selva Biological Station from the Organization for Tropical Studies ( you need to make a reservation as early as possible, because they only take very small numbers of visitors, since are focus in reaserch!) This is maybe the best place in CR for wildlife and most definetely the top one for birds... try to rent a bike at reception, and then ride all the way in, on the 3 rios trail... it's like another world... Also recommend you the guided night walk... 4) Go to the Caribbean Coast and stay in a cozy lodge called Almonds and Corals! what a place! take the canuing tour on the river chanals and see the magic of nature... At night just sit on a hammock facing the ocean and enjoy the millions of stars you can't see anywhere else like that in the world. I hope you have so much fun!!! |
