I prefer June (early rainy season but post hot season) and October (late rainy season but cooling) are my favorite months since there aren't a lot of other visitors. I would recommend to go right after Easter, because it will still be the dry season (the last part of it) but it will be low season after Easter, so the prices will go down a lot. Good luck! Costa Rican OK you got plenty of answers stating the dry season. Let me offer a contrary opinion. During the dry season is when all the tourists flock to Costa Rica. The place becomes very crowded with tourists. And prices are adjusted accordingly though even then they are not bad. During the wet season you have Costa Rica almost to yourself. I stayed at one top end lodge where I and 3 other guests were it. One medium priced lodge where for 4 of the 5 days, I was the only guest. I became one of the family. The wet season is not entirely wet. Only half so. It almost never rains before noon and most of the time not before 2:00 pm. And on some few days not at all. If you like crowds, the dry season is for you. If you like elbow room then try the wet season. |
