My husband and I stayed at El Capitan Suizo Hotel in Tamarindo for our honeymoon. It is a little on the expensive side, but it is very beautiful (the architecture is different from the rest), nice swimming-pool surrounded by trees (you can even see monkeys), nice beach, wonderful food and not expensive (at least two years ago). It is located in the quietest part of Tamarindo. Another nice hotel is El Diria. Source(s): Costa Rican married to an American.
