Hotel las mangos in montezuma, costa rica? |
Travel Info has anyone ever stayed there? is it a nice hotel? how far is the beach from it? how far is montezuma? any info is appreicated. Travel Tips I stayed there 2 years ago and it was a nice place. They have little bungalo's with porches that are situated on the hillside rising away from the beach. They have a bathroom in each one, although I don't recall air conditioning. There is a nice pool to cool off in, and the beach is just a short walk down the road (~.25 miles). I do remember waking up in the morning to the howler monkeys screaming in the trees above us. It was awesome! One note on driving to Montezuma; Stay on the main road. We decided to cut across the Nicoya Peninsula on the backroads and ended up traveling for about 8 hours, finding that many roads dead end at rivers (no bridges) and had to cross a few rivers anyway in the SUV. The ferry is a pretty good option if you are coming from the San Jose area. Others Its a nice hotel but getting there by car its a real bad experience. Roads are destroyed and it takes forever to get there eventhough the distance is not that much from capital city San Jose. I suggest inform you about the state of the roads now. Good luck! |
