Does Costa Rica have better Climate in March or April? |
Travel Info I am planning a surprise trip to Costa Rica for my girlfriend as an early Xmas gift. I am going to make the reservations for two weeks, anywhere in the time frame of March 1st to April 31st. Is there a good amount of rain in April? Any personal experiences in these months? Travel Tips I was in Costa Rica (San Jose and sorroundings) in both March and April. It rained a lot in Costa Rica in both months. I asked the concierge at the hotel and he told me that it rained all year around. What is good of March and April is the weather because its hotter. A more important consideration is Holy Week (Semana Santa) which is the week before Easter. The whole country takes time off then and all of the moderately and budget priced accomodations are taken over by Costa Ricans. I would probably avoid visiting Costa Rica that week. March and April are the dry months. The locals say that the best time to visit is in March. I have been several times in November and it is a bit rainy and windy in the mountains.
