Travel Info I'm going to the beach with some friends to celebrate new years eve how can i balance my really tight budget Travel Tips Depends on the beach. If you are going to Costa Rica, do NOT get all-inclusive. They are usually a lot more than you would pay eating good plain food in local sodas, or paying as you go. If your budget is so tight that you'll have to count every penny, don't go. It's irritating and stressful. But, if you have a hundred or so dollars that you can play with, you'll be fine. If you're going to surf, go to the less touristy spots (ie. choose Avellanas instead of Tamarindo, or go to the esterillos beaches instead of Quepos. Basically, stay away from the tourists and your budget will keep on going Source(s): me: worked in eco-tourism in COsta Rica for a year and a half Other Travel Tips Pick a place to stay that is "all-inclusive" that way you don't have to pay for anything while you are there. you could not waste alot of money and get stuff that cost a little its a beech not a 5* hotel.. how much u thikn it will cost? just "forget to bring all that alcohol that you bought" Some peoples I idea of a tight budget is 15 dollars a day and others $100 http://tamarindo.net/index.php?option=co... If you have $150 dollars for 6 days maybe tamarindo. Many people go to Jaco which is the most popular beach closest to San Jose. Might be dificult to get cheap accomodation in Jaco at that time |
