Has anyone been to Puerto VIEGO, COSTA RICA AND WHAT IS IT LIKE? |
Travel Info Am considering moving from USVI to Costa Rica so am looking for info on people's travels in that area of C.A. Travel Tips For me Puerto Viejo is one of the best places in Costa Rica for vacation. Excelents beaches, good and affordable accomodations and food. Eventhough the use of light droges like marihuana is common, it is not a dangerous place. it is like a bit of Jamaica in Costa Rica. If so :\ It's below Limon, the biggest port on the Carib side. Considered a very dangerous city. Puerto Viejo is a popular tourist area. Good food (Jamaican style), and so I've heard pretty druggy. The Tico Times is the weekly newspaper in English. You can access it on line to get more info. I live on the Pacific side in Golfito. It's ther town on the inside of a double gulf. Very pretty here too. |
