Which are the best places to visit/see in Costa Rica? |

Other Travel Tips the airport Make sure you go to Curu!! It's a beautiful beach with all different types of monkeys. Teniorio National park is also a wonderful place to see all types of beautiful scenery. If you get a chance...stay in the Fleur De Lece hotel in San Juan. It is my favorite hotel in all the world. Also in San Juan, there is a musuem with a very nice butterfly room. I must say, my favorite place in all Costa Rica was Puerto Viejo on the carribean side. I would suggest getting a surfing lesson! It depends on what you are looking for. If volcanoes are your thing, head to Volcan Arenal and the nearby town of La Fortuna. If you want beautiful beached the Nicoya Peninsula is beautiful and full of beaches, playa grande has nesting sea turtles. If you want a more active town head further down the pacific coast to Quepos and spend a day at Parque Nacional Manuel Antonio, great place to float in calm warm water and watch the monkeys in the trees. I also strongly recommend Cahuita on teh Caribean side south of Limon. It is quiet and pretty safe, nice beaches and park, and the opportunity to go snorkeling.
