Has anyone visited Costa Rica? Have any ideas for a Honeymoon? |
Travel Info I am getting married and the Groom suggested for us to go to Costa Rica. He likes the Rainforest and animals. I like to do some adventurous stuff like ziplining and going into caves. I need to know a traveling agency, discounts, restaurants, and places to see so that I can prepare this trip before October. Thanks for reading. -j Travel Tips Go buy the Frommers guide to Costa Rica. It is the BEST travel book! They have every destination you could be interested in along with hotel and restaurant information. All the prices as well as contact info for all the businesses are listed. And they are accurate!! For a honeymoon, places like Dominical, Manuel Antonio, and Monteverde are good finds. Dominical: Beach town. Small. Beautiful. One of the cheapest beach areas. Lots to do (like the ziplines and hiking). Manuel Antonio: Also a beach town. Very big. Very touristy. But if you want "nice" things, like things that you are used to in the states, this is where to get it. Most of the hotels are 4 and 5 star, so it is expensive. There are many ways to get pampered and relax here. The restaurants are also expensive. The beaches are pretty, and you are right where Manuel Antonio National Park is. Monteverde: Inland. Rainforest. Monteverde is home to the SkyTrek zip lines, which are the best in the country. There is a lot to do there if you are an active, adventurous person. It is a bit pricey, but not as bad as Manuel Antonio. For me personally I would go to Dominical. I love that place, and I'm cheap. Haha. But if you have a bit extra to spend, the other two are great spots too!! Source(s): Experience Other Travel Tips check out these sites we stayed here and had the best time these are for the same place wonder rainforest , animals, hummingbirds, near poas volcano and the city of San jose about 30 miles so can plan on other things in the area also. we loved staying here . http://www.waterfallgardens.com/... http://www.wildnatureimages.com/lapazwat... There enchanting places all over Costa Rica. There are some nice caving tours near the Arenal Volcano. There is also canopy tours (ziplining), whitewater rafting, waterfalling repelling, and lots of jungle and animals. Also, the town of Manual Antonio and Puerto Viejo are very nice. You can find private beaches on the Carribean side with excellent restaurants. You can go on any budget from surfers to very high end. I live here so ask away! www.insidertourscostarica.com Go to La Fortuna, you can see the volcano from the hight street, visit the Vedano caves, go to Cano Negro Reserve to see lots of wildlife on a river boat. Osa Peninsula is a must see for wildlife but a little isolated and not accessible during rainy season http://costa.rica.typepad.com/costa_rica... |
