March is probably the very best month of the year to go there. because of its location near the tropics, costa rica has only two season, these been the rainy season, going from may to november and the dry season going from december thou april. so in jaco in march is probably going to a hot, dry weather. All the answers are really good, Costa Rica does have two distinct seasons and March is during the dry one. It will be hot and humid, but definitely not unbearable. Jaco has many air-conditioned shops lining the streets. Jaco is one of the most heavily visited tourist beaches in Costa Rica therefore remember water and other beverages are more expensive. There are lots of other less crowded beaches very close to Jaco such as Playas Esterillos Oeste (West Star Beach) and Playa Esterillos Este (East Star Beach). But, with that said I love Jaco and enjoy what it offers. The area in which you are referring to offers the best of both worlds; popular tourist beaches and beautiful isolate beaches where you can be alone. Have fun where ever you end up.
