Has anyone ever stayed at the Paradisus Playa Conchal in Costa Rica? |
Travel Info Thinking about going there in April with my fiance for five days, we are 29 and want the beach but also the ability to go on a day trip into the rainforest. Travel Tips This is wonderful resort which you will enjoy! Is is located near Guanacaste, and is far from Arenal or the rain forests, but they will have excursions you can book at the hotel. These will most likely be the entire day. MUST do the zip-line thru the forest if nothing else. You will enjoy CR, Check out tripadvisor.com for reviews and photos of the resort Others The rain forest is quite a ride away. If you want to go to Monteverde, it is over 3 hours by car. There is some jungle on around the resort, but not the lush rainforest you are probably looking for. Conchal beach is one of the best in Guanacaste, the hotel is very expensive but really nice and the food is great! I have not stayed there, but I have stayed nearby, and I can tell you that Conchal beach is one of the most beautiful ones I've ever seen. It has a pronounced slope, though, but it's like a swimming-pool, since it has no waves. The resort is really upscale and beautiful. I'm sure they have tours at the hotel. Tell them you want to go to Carara National Park near Jaco. It's the jungle and rainforest. You can also take the crocodile river tour. There is a really fun tour called the ATV tour. You visit several beaches. I took it from Flamingo, but I'm sure you can take it at Conchal too. Have fun!
