I am traveling to Costa Rica in april by myself....? |
Travel Info I was supposed to meet a friend in costa rica but his mother is very sick so he has returned to the US. I still plan on going to visit costa rica since ive been anticipating this for months. I am female and would like to hook up with another female pref. if not a male in CR to hang out and explore! I dont mind if she/he is local or a visitor like myslef. How should I go about this??? thanx Travel Tips well it depends how old you are and your travel style... I just travelled around australia by myself and met people by staying at hostels in dorm rooms... not usually my style, but it was super easy to meet people... and everyone is travelling around, so you can just hook on to their itinerary. If you like surfing at all, or want to learn, there are a million surf schools in costa rica, where you stay and learn to surf... another great place to meet like minded people.. you could also try posting on craigslist.com... i've seen postings on there for travel partners.. have fun, and be sure to go to Arenal (the volcano) and the hot springs there, if you like zip lines, do the one at arenal (it is the safest and most amazing view) and go rafting on the pacuare river (there is an overnight trip, that I didn't do, but it looked cool - i just did the day trip).. malpais was gorgeous and really peaceful... If you are going - I would highly suggest that it be with someone you know very well from the States and who is fairly travel savvy and someone that you can trust and depend on. Good Luck! a realist!
