Costa Rica???

My daughter is doing a Spanish project on Costa Rica. We have four questions.

-What is the population of Costa Rica?
-What is the time difference between there and the USA?
-What are the different ethnic groups?
- What are the largest imports/exports?

If you could answer just one or all of these questions, that would be great!

Travel Tips

Population of Costa Rica is approximately 4 million souls.

Costa Rica time is approximately two hours behind ours.

Ethnic groups consist of indigenous native Costa Rican Indians, Scandinavians, Eastern and Southern European, Asiatics, Caribbean blacks - which give them the most Beautiful Women in the world! And a great variety of them!

Their largest exports are Coffee naturally, Bananas, and Palm Oil with lessor exports of Yucca, Oranges, Mangoes, and other exotic fruit.

Tourism is their greatest industry!

And their largest imports are Oil, Gasoline and metals of all kinds with which to produce various items, and mechanical instruments.

Costs of living there is about one third what it is here in the States and a person can live like a King there for about $600.00 USD a month! - Their coffee sells in the neighborhood of only $2.75 a pound USD in their grocery stores!

On the Central Plain where San Jose is located which sits 3,800 feet above sea level and is in the middle of the country, the Temperature never gets any lower than 59 degrees nor any higher than 85 degrees at any time in the year which makes it a virtual Paradise and a Tourist mecca.

population...i'm not sure but its easy to find out....its about 4 millions right now i think...any web page says it. Time difference depends on where in U.S. for example we are one hour aheaf from west coast....one hour behind east......ethnic....ummm Costa Rica is one of the few countries in central america where not all population resembles to its indian origins, but to the spaniard...so most of population is white(latin) now there's this province (one of the 7 provinces costa rica has) that is mostly populated by black people due to migration from jamaica and africa back in slavery period....the province is Limon... Largest exports..coffee. flowers
