Costa Rica- Best of the Best?

Travel Info
My husband and I are traveling to Costa Rica the middle of May and staying at the Los Suenos Marriot, close to Jaco. I have done a lot of research on tours, trips and activities. I would like to know from people who have been there what is the best of the best to do in 7 days as well as what companies to use? I would also wouldn't mind hiring a tour guide if someone knows a great one? We are fairly adventerous!
Thanks

Travel Tips
I would not recommend fairly adventurous people to stay at Los Suenos. It is a big 5 Star resort with very little adventure to it. The pool is fantastic, the beach is less than mediocre.

Manuel Antonio Park is a fairly adventurous place to the south by a couple of hours. Highly Recommended.

Monteverde Cloud Forest is a rainforest which is very popular a few hours north (not many miles, but you can't go 60 mph).

Jaco is a surfers town with a lot of noise and restaurants and not that clean. I'd avoid it except to eat.

That's a very subjective kinda question as it depends on your personal preferences. My suggestion is that you research the National Tourism website for Costa Rica.

They have done a lot of research and would consider the top attractions and activities for tourists, so you should be able to identify the most popular things, as well as some "off the beaten track" type stuff.

Hope this helps ... good luck with your plans.

I've also included some hotels which you may like to visit for nightlife and/or as a different place to relax:

earl@dukeofearls.com - He is a fantastic tour guide and operates out of San Jose - or where ever you want him to go!
He speaks English as well as Spanish, is inexpensive, honest and very much a gentlemen! I use him all the time when I go to CR.

Stay at the Hotel Kamuk when you journey to Quepos and see the fishing fleets there and their Big "Gift Shop" when you also visit Manuel Antonio Beach/Park/Nature Reserve.

You will want to fly "Sansa Air" as they are one of the best Air Charters in CR. They can take you from San Jose to Quepos in 29 minutes but if you drive it will take you about 4 hours and they fly all over CR!

Good Luck!

VIVA LA PURA VIDA!
A realist and a Tico at heart!
7 days at Los Surnos is boring.
Spend 3/4 nights there max, rest of time visit La Fortuna to see Arenal Volcano:

or visit Osa Peninsula
There's a four in one adventure that you pay one whole price for lodging, rafting, horseback riding, canopy tour and mud bath. I think it might be in Monteverde.
