Costa Rica House Rental?

My husband and I would like to spend a month in Costa Rica during the prime time dates, January-Marchish, in an "average-clean" (not luxurious), 1 bedroom, condo/home/apartment on the beach or close to the beach. Has anyone found something along these lines, reasonably priced (not sure what that is anymore)? and can recommend their stay? We are not familiar with Costa Rica just have heard many good things. So, any information about areas would be helpful too. Thank you very much!

You would probably be able to find exactly what you are looking for in Quepos a little fishing village on the Pacific side of Costa Rica with about 4,000 souls living there. Its only minutes from their famous Manuel Antonio Nature Park & Beach and you would love it!

Since San Jose the capital of CR is only 55 miles away, you could advertise in the "Tico Times" in San Jose. The Tico Times is one of the largest Newspapers in CR. and has a web site. You could probably run an ad in it from the States.

Last year when I visited Quepos, I checked ad I could have gotten a nice single bed room apartment for myself for $300.00 a month.

But then everything is about one third cheaper there!

Take a look at Zancudo websites. It's in the Southern Zone, not far from Panama. Depends if how much social life you want. Playa Dominical Has lots of action for the younger crowd. More elegant & more expensive Playa Jaco. Search around
