How far is Hotel Punta Islita from Los Alto de Eros Inn in Costa Rica? |
Travel Info Is it possible to fly into Liberia and travel between the 2 hotels? Travel Tips I think that it is less than 2 hours (1-1.5 hours) from the Liberia to Los Alto in Tamarindo but unless they have paved the improved the road considerably, it has to be a good 3+ hours to Punta Islita from the airport (they could have improved the road so ask the hotel). For that reason Islita used to have an air strip (don't know if it is still in operation). I have not taken the road from Tamarindo to Islita, but I have heard that it is slow going. If that road is really as it has been described to me, I think you would have to drive hard and fast to make it in two hours in the dry season-- if it is even possible. If you are planning to go in the May-September period it coud take a couple of hours longer. Others about 2 hours. and yes you can fly there and travel to either one of them |
