Costa Rica, how is it?

Travel Info
I want to know where to go . and what do you recomend to take for a trip. HELP!!!

Travel Tips
Costa Rica for the most part is inexpensive (depending on where you go) and beautiful with the Clouds constantly kissing the tops of the mountains everywhere you look! I have been going there since l995 and will be going again in June.

San Jose has the worlds largest Pre-Colombian Jade Collection as well as a Gold Museum (both of which are absolutely Must Sees!) and the Costa Rican National Museum, along with many painting galleries that will literally knock you off your feet - if you are into that sort of thing.

If you are into Fishing or Tourist Attractions as well as Nature Parks and Beaches, etc. let me suggest going to Quepos on the West side of Costa Rica.

Their world famous Nature Park/Beach - "Manuel Antonio" is only minutes away and they have a fantastic beach there. You can get to Quepos out of San Jose for only $98.00 round trip which takes 29 minutes by Sansa Air.

Don't Over pack! I always take a lot of clothes with me and when I come back there will always be clothes that I have not worn on my trip!

Take the lightest clothes that you have. You would only need a light sweater for some of the evenings there at best and possibly not!

You can buy Cosmetics, as well as Sun Screen and Sun Tan oil, etc. all over the place so there is no sense in bringing these kinds of items along with you.

Good Luck and VIVA LA PURA VIDA! Source(s): A realist and a Tico at heart!
Other Travel Tips
Well, it depends on what you like to do! If you're a big surfer, there's always Dominical or Puntarenas, which both have wicked breaks. If you like the primeval jungle areas, there's the cloud forest. Arenal is a pretty cool volcano for sightseeing. Pretty much anywhere you go, there's something great to do.
If you want to fish Playa del Coco is the best spot.It is also a great area if you are an experienced surfer with 2 great spots very close by,Ollies point and Witched Rock. You have to take a short boat ride but it is worth it for sure. There are also a bunch of really good bars/small clubs/lounges.I liked it so much that I just bought a condo there somewhat recently and I have been there 10 times.
If you go to Coco or any other town in the region it is best to fly into Liberia NOT San Jose. Coco Is just 25 minutes away from Liberia airport,San Jose is 5 hours away.
Coco is in the Guanacaste province which is the area that has the best beach towns/surfing/fishing and tours.
San Jose is filled with a lot of crime and really isnt that impressive.Anymore questions just ask.
my source is me.I have been there numerous times and own a condo there.
Costa Rica was absolutely Beautiful. I'm from Australia and have never been to central/south america but decided to go to CR with ISV(International Student Volunteers) for a month in July and had the best experience ever. I decided to go with a group as I've never been to this part of the world and didn't know much about it so this gave me the oppurtunity to go on a trip with not much experience and planning.
