Costa rica money wise?

I am going on a teen tour and want to know how exensive it is there. If i wanna get a purse owuld it be 1000 colons or 50 colons so some help is food 5 colons or 40 colons and shops and things like that. I will be in Turrialba

Easiest to figure 500 because 17 colonies is less than $00.02
An average meal in a typical Costa RIca cafe (They call them "sodas") is 2000 colonies including a beverage. $4.00
Everything is much cheaper than the US
50 colonies buys a small candy

Its like everything else!

Basically Costa Rica is about one third less expensive than the United States.

You have to shop for the best prices you can get. And if you go to a Craftsmen Market to buy something always offer only them half of what they are asking for!

They will come down on their price - they always do!
