Travel Info What is the best attraction in the guanacaste region of costa rica? Travel Tips Guanacaste is a nice area, sometimes is very dry. It depends of course in what season are you going. Generally from december to april is very hot and dry and the rest you will find more often a little rain. I think Guacaste has several options, my favorites of course will be the beaches, there are lot of them which doesn麓t have even a name in the map and are beutiful, so I advise you to have a car. I found particularly incredible 2 volcanoes: Rincon de la Vieja and Miravalles, (they have incredible volcanic mud baths) in between them you will find Rio Celeste (celeste means light blue, the river is that color and it is spectacular). In that volcanoes area there is also canopy. My favorite beaches in Guanacaste are Carrillo, Samara, Sugar Beach and some other paradises hidden in secret paths ...
