Travel Info if you know gimme an exact price in US dollars Travel Tips Since cars are not built in CR they are all imported so you have to pay taxes everytime you bring a car in the country and the taxes are a minimum of 70% of the cars price so usually you end up paying double of what the cars actual price is here. Thats the only sad part of living in CR. A car that cost $500 in the states usually cost $2k here. A car that cost 2k in the states cost from 4k to 5k here because after the car dealer pays the 70% tax to bring the car in they also have to make a profit so cars here are more expensive then in the states.
