Travel Info We are wondering if cozemel is ok? we are staying at festa americana and just wanted to know how it looks and that everything is ok after the hurrican Travel Tips The Mexican Goverment has spent over 40 million dollars after the hurricane to repair Cozumel everything looks perfect and like it wasnt hit by hurricane. Others Yes, it's ok, everything's back to normal at the Mayan Riviera... Yup, everything is ship shape again. I had gone to that area less than a year after a hurricane and 90% was good again. Few landscaping issues. I had friends that were in Cancun during the hurricane this past year. They said things were running back on track withint 3 days. As a mexican I can assure you that Cozumel is in great shape ! It is as beautiful as alway ! My mom is living there and she told me that it looks just like it looked before the hurricane. Fiesta americana is a great hotel, the only annoying thing is the sand, it will stick to your body ALL the time Just a sidenote- Good choice with the Fiesta Americana.
