What kind of shape is Cozemel in after the Hurricanes of 2005?

I am going on a cruise to Cozemel in March of 2006 and was wondering if it is damaged from the Hurricanes of 2005. Can you get this informatin for me.

Everything is back to normal. The beaches and hotels are absolutely beautful. Mexico has put over 40 million dollars into rebuilding the coast. Everything is perfect and looks like it was never hit.

My friend just came back and showed me pictures of Cozumel (she was there Dec 19th)( have been there on cruises several times myself) I was amazed at the distruction, it is flattened, there are hardly any tall trees left, the resorts buildings are now see thru, there are no walls just the metal frames. They are useually pretty quick to rebuild but I think this one may take a year or two before it is back to normal, and if we have another hurricane season like this one maybe longer. Good Luck
