What currency shall I use in mexico? us dollars or mexican peso's?

Travel Tips
The Peso is a hard currency. The Mexicans can exchange Peso's for US $ at will and so why would they give you a better deal for US $ rather than their own currency? Take US $ for a reserve if you must. Unless you are travelling around to remote places mexico has ATM's why take currency when you can use a cash point? If you try to pay in US $ you will only be showing yourself up as a tourist and ready to be overcharged. Imagine how you would feel if a Mexican tourist tryied to pay for something in Peso's or a European in Euros.

US$
Just got back from Ixtapa/Zih and they prefer pesos. You might want to check with your bank,we found that our bank had a better rate than what was being offered in Mexico. There are tons of ATM's where you can get $$, but watch out for those service fees.
while i was in mexico you can use us dollars but you will probably get pesos back as change
