Travel Tips According to the Terrorism Prevention Act of 2004, travelers to and from the Caribbean, Bermuda, Panama, Mexico and Canada have a passport or other secure, accepted document to enter or re-enter the United States. This will be completed by January 1, 2008, but will implemented in phases. By December 2006, certifed birth certificates and driver's license will no longer be acceptable for travel to the above places. So...to avoid any complications...get your passport. Other Travel Tips no if you're a us citizen you just need birth certificate and drivers license or state issued id card. traveldocs.com Depend where you live. Probably you need a passport. I don't believe you need it yet but soon it will be mandatory. Cozumel is my favorite travel spot anywhere (spent two weeks there last year) but I have had a passport for years. Have a friend of a friend who is also going in June and I don't believe she has a passport and has assured my friend she wouldn't need one yet if we decide to go too. you should have a passport |
