Is Cozumel a good place for a family trip, what kind of activities? |
Travel Info Thinking about traveling there with my 15 year old son. Travel Tips Cozumel has a lot of water sports like diving, snorkling, skiing and jet-skiing. The water is very clear and the fish (very brightly colored) will swim right up to you. Some of my buddies took bread to feed the fish in order to get great underwater pics. There are several resorts, restaurants and shopping areas there as well. There is a lot to see and do, or at least there was before Katrina. Some of the hotels were hit pretty hard. I would recommend checking with a travel agent or someone who has recently travelled there to determine what shape the city is in. Others mexico is getting to be very touristy, try the carribean, nicer place, and less tourists, and much prettier. 2003 Yes, we have been there several times.. but only for 8 hrs at a time. It is a fun place and a very safe feeling place to go..the people are there to help you, although they can be somewhat persistent at times...because they want your business. They have a lot of good, fun places to eat. If u need a taxi driver...ask for Spider,,,he is nice and a good driver.. Channkanab park is fun. Along w/ the tour around the city,,to a big rock formation,,,forgot the name. ask ur travel agent to rec commend a good place to stay,,she will know. |
