Place to park in Playa del Carmen?

We'll be staying in Cancun w/ rental car. We're thinking of going to Cozumel for an overnight trip. Will there be a place to park a rental car overnight in Playa del Carmen? Similarly, what would be best place to leave rental car in Cancun for an overnight (actually two night) trip to Island of women?

The best place would be near your hotel in Cancun and in Playa probably in a parking lot, but they charge by the hour. You can leave it on the street, the unsafe part would be that you park wrong. A lot of people leave cars and dont realize there are certain hours (like early in the morning or late at night) when it is permitted.
Also, sometimes drunk kids take the hub caps if it is a lonely place. Leave it in a place where people walk. Near the dock in Playa (to go to Cozumel) you could leave it on the street in 10th avenue, there is a small plaza (Pelicanos), see if you can park outside the Plaza. It is free and lighted, give a tip to the guy in the parking lot to watch it.
