Are carnival cruises fun?

Travel Info
if they are what are some of the fun boats to go on for let's say a 10 or 13 year old boy and girl?

Travel Tips
We took 8 teens on a Spring Break cruise on the Carnival Conquest.

We took a set of the 2-way radios so we could give the kids freedom to go "exploring" as they called it.

My girls are 10 and 12 and they did things with the kids club and they enjoyed being on their own.

They danced in the kids disco, played in the video arcade, they went swimming, played basketball, eat pizza and ice cream until they were sick and ordered room service.

Yes. Every Carnival cruise I have been on was. They all have a similar program for the children. The longer the cruise the better planned it will be for them.

omg yes. all you can eat and kids clubs...my goodness its amazin
I think Carnivals best for older teens and young adults. I have traveled on the smaller ships, and there were no less than three clubs. Theres also karaoke, "Vegas-style" shows, and contests/games. As for 13 and under kids, I'm not sure what fun they will have outside of the kids club/daycare service they have. I'm not saying thats not fun (there is a game room), but I know a guy who took his kids and they complained about not having enough to do (and that the pools were crowded).
I went too went on the Conquest and took my 13 year old nephew (who looks like he's 18) and he got to enjoy the "teenager" clubs, not to mention the slot machines at the casinos... so yeah, he had a blast and said he would definitely go again, but I think next time we'll bring somebody his age to explore with...
Carnival is great for kids. There is LOTS to do. Actually, I just returned this week from a 6-day cruise on the Carnival Imagination. There was a midnight ice cream party for the kids and loads of other activities. There is a large water slide at the main pool and there is a smaller kiddie pool on the back of the ship.

Try it...you will definitely enjoy!
